Mitchell Zeal, Counseling Intern

Mitchell Zeal is a counselor-in-training. He is currently enrolled in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s program at Grand Canyon University. Originally from Chicago, IL, Mitch attended Colorado State University as an undergraduate, and attained a BS in Natural Resource Tourism. Mitch enjoys building meaningful relationships with others, and is passionate about helping people. He believes that becoming a licensed counselor will provide him with a fulfilling career that will allow him to connect with others, while helping empower clients to resolve their problems. Mitch has worked as an instructor, a guide, a supervisor, and a coach at his previous jobs. He enjoys working with people of all ages. While at Creative Counseling in Evergreen, Mitch will receive training and supervision in play therapy. Mitch is also able to provide counseling services to teens and adults. Mitch is able to take Medicaid, Cigna, and Anthem insurances, and also offers an affordable private pay rate of $50 per session.

In addition to training to become a counselor, Mitch and his wife have 3 dogs and they enjoy living in their little cabin in the mountains of Colorado. He likes to snowboard, whitewater raft, fence, hike, and rock climb. He also regularly meditates, which he believes is the best way for me to re-find his center and to realign his mind, body, and soul.
